Child-Centered/Person-Centered
Child-centered (or person-centered) is a non-directive approach that creates a safe, accepting space for people to express themselves and explore their experiences. Rather than directing change, the counselor trusts in the person’s natural capacity for growth. This approach emphasizes connection, autonomy, and emotional safety.
