Behavior Contract
A behavior contract is a written agreement between a student and one or more adults that outlines specific behavioral expectations, goals, and the reinforcement or consequences tied to meeting or not meeting those goals. Contracts work best when the student is involved in developing them and the terms are clear and achievable. They are often used as a Tier 2 intervention for students who respond well to structure and adult relationships.
