Trainings and Workshops

Sharing my knowledge and experience with other educators and counselors is one of my favorite things to do. My speaking experience includes state counseling conferences, the American School Counseling Association’s annual conference, and district-wide counselor PDs. I would love to come speak with your counselors, school social workers, or teachers. Speaking is free for local university prep programs. Please reach out to me via email (sara@theresponsivecounselor.com) to discuss speaking fees and the needs of your counselors or teachers.

Previous sessions include:

  • Tier 1 SEL Core Curriculum Lesson Planning
  • Tier 2/Small Group Counseling Planning and Strategies
  • CBT Strategies for Elementary Students
  • Creating and Implementing Calm Corners
  • Dysregulation and Emotional Regulation in Children
  • De-Escalation Strategies With Elementary Students
  • Check In, Check Out: Evidence-Based Tier 2 Intervention

Feedback from Past Participants

Sara is a phenomenal presenter that provided engaging discussion with immediately applicable content and strategies for us as school counselors. She also provided awesome resources to help support our organization and planning.

This was an amazing session that provided extremely useful information that will help me to help create a better school counseling program for the population I serve. Thank you for this opportunity!

Please come back! All your trainings were engaging and relevant.

Amazing info! Very helpful! It was a session that I could actually have a “takeaway”-that tangible thing that I can take back to my classroom and implement with students next year! Thank you!

Sara did a fantastic job and it was the end of the day. I love how she challenged the group to bring intentionality to our work in the classroom.
